This is "Scarlett"!
What dreams are made of!
Scarlett is truly one of those rare horses that "has it all". She was bred by Jay and Patsy Bennett of Claremore, OK and raised on their beautiful 80 acre farm.. I bought this young mare as a just turned two year old...she BLEW me away with her movement and outstanding presence. Her use of the hind leg is exceptional AND she has a very free shoulder. A rare find indeed! However, I was not the only one impressed by this little filly. At her foal inspections she was awarded premium status with scores of: 8.5 on conformation and type, 8.0 on movement, and an 8.0 on overall impression. She walked away with the title of "site champion" against some very stiff competition.

It is no wonder that Scarlett is such an incredible horse...look at her PEDIGREE. She is by the #1 premium producing stallion Frohwind who was sired by the famous Furioso II. Her bottom side is equally impressive. Scarlett is out of the OLD MMB TB "Star Lovin". Star Lovin's pedigree reads like a "who's, who" in sport horse breeding. Her immediate pedigree contains such greats as T.V. Lark (grandsire of Grande Sabre), Indian Hempe, Round Table, and Ambiorix. These stallions are found in many German approved Warmblood stallions! Of course the all time greats are also there: In the fifth generation: Princequillo 2X, Nasrullah, and Tourbillon. In the six+ generation you have Teddy, Bulldog, Hyperion, Nearco, Dark Ronald, War Admiral, Man O' War, and Discovery. Scarlett inherited the athleticism, stamina and refinement from her dam and the outstanding movement, temperament and ride-ability from her sire. Yes... the banner is Scarlett at 6 months of age!
Scarlett was backed as a three year old with out so much as a fuss. We walked and trotted on our very FIRST ride with a ring full of kids jumping! She is soft and supple and has a tremendous amount of impulsion. Her gaits are big yet she feels silky smooth; it is quite exciting to experience. She naturally engages behind and is built to come onto the bit. With very limited under saddle time I took her to a dressage clinic with Jean Thornton (in an indoor arena). Jean commented on her big gaits, spectacular mind and wonderful disposition. She said "if only all three year olds could act like her" and "it sure is nice to have a horse that is BRED to do dressage". I was very happy with "my little girl". We have continued taking lessons with Jean and she continues to be impressed with Scarlett. It will be an extremely difficult decision to make: To Breed or Not to Breed! I bought her to be my foundation broodmare but she is so fabulously talented under saddle that I hate to set aside her training...but then again if her babies are even half as great as she is... decisions, decisions...
